Appointing a solicitor

"Knowing I had the right solicitor was one less thing for me to worry about"
"Knowing I had the right solicitor really put my mind at ease"
"With the right solicitor, I could relax knowing my move was in safe hands"
"My solicitor explained everything so clearly - really putting my mind at ease"
"My solicitor helped make the whole process much simpler than I expected"

Once you've reserved your home, the next step is to appoint a solicitor to act on your behalf. They will do all your 'conveyancing'. That's just a fancy word for all the legal stuff required to make the home yours. You may already know who you wish to appoint, however Gleeson  have a panel of solicitors ready to act on your behalf. Ask the sales negotiator for details.

Solicitors will charge a fee for their work; get a quote from anyone you are thinking of using first so you know how much it will all cost. Should you choose one of our panel solicitors, you may qualify for favourable rates. The quote should include things like local authority searches, stamp duty and land registry fees.

The more information you can give your solicitors about the purchase, the quicker and easier it will all progress, and the sooner you'll be moving in!
