Budding designer steals the show at Gleeson Homes’ Parker Place show home opening

Gleeson Homes received a strong council attendance at their Parker Place Show Home Opening event in Rishton.   The attendees included local councillor and Cabinet Member for Housing and Regeneration, Clare Cleary and members of the Planning Committee of Hyndburn Council to officially open their new show homes.

On looking round the show homes, Councillor Cleary commented, “I am very impressed with how affordable the homes are for local people. We are committed to supporting good quality housing developments that meet the needs of local people, including those who want to own a home of their own.”

Another key attendee was 11 year old Dominic Earnshaw, a pupil at Rishton Methodist Primary School.  The affordable house builder invited pupils from the nearby school to enter a competition to design their dream bedroom.  The winning design, a robot theme, was then replicated by Gleeson’s team of designers in one of the new show homes.  Well-deserved winner Dominic attended the event with his parents and Head Mistress and Deputy Head Master of the primary school to receive his prize.

Rachel Earnshaw, Dominic’s mother explained, “Dominic was thrilled to win the Design a Bedroom competition.  His dream is to become an Architect and winning the competition and being able to see his robot themed design come to life in the show home was so exciting for him.”

The 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes at Parker Place, start from £120,995 and buying schemes are available to suit buyer’s circumstances.  Sue Irving, Sales Manager for Gleeson Homes said, “Our new homes are proving really popular with local people due to their affordable price and we have schemes available that can be tailor made to suit a buyer’s particular circumstances.”

Councillor Cleary added further “I’m delighted with the quality of the new homes. It’s lovely to know that not only are they priced to suit local people but that they are being built using local labour, including apprentices, giving young people the chance to gain qualifications as they work.”

The Sales Office and Show Homes at Parker Place are open daily from 10am to 5pm.
