Gleeson Homes were joined by the Chairman of Durham County Council, Councillor Lethbridge and his Consort Mrs Lethbridge at its Homelands Park development in Crook, to officially open the new show homes.
On looking round the show homes, Councillor Lethbridge commented, “I am very impressed with how affordable the homes are for local people. We are committed to supporting good quality housing developments that meet the needs of local people, including those who want to own a home of their own.”
The 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes at Homelands Park have proved so popular that only one 3 bedroom is currently available to purchase at £133,995. The prices of the next phase of homes are anticipated to start from £99,995. Christine Douglas, Sales Manager for Gleeson Homes said, “Our new homes are proving really popular with local people due to their affordable prices, which are often cheaper than local rent levels. All our houses include a driveway and front and rear gardens and we also offer a range of schemes to assist first time buyers, such as the Government backed Help to Buy. Homelands Park is perfect for buyers looking to live close to shops, schools and other amenities.”
MJ Gleeson has recently been voted the most sustainable company in the UK due to the housebuilder’s use of environmentally friendly materials such as gravel driveways, commitment to Living Wage and working closely with local communities in which they build through the Gleeson Community Matters scheme.
In addition to promoting home ownership to local young people and helping them to get onto the property ladder Gleeson is dedicated to making a difference in the community, by providing job opportunities for local people, offering apprenticeship schemes and providing sponsorship for local junior sports teams.
If you have a junior sports team in need of sponsorship or would like further details on the Apprenticeship Scheme, Gleeson would like to hear from you.
The Sales Office and Show Homes at Homelands Park are open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
