Gleeson Forges Ahead with New Homes in Pallion

Gleeson has now received planning permission from Sunderland Council to build 49 brand new homes in Pallion. Construction of the new homes on the development, which will be known as Forge Court, will begin shortly with the first properties released for sale in early summer.

This is Gleeson’s third development in Sunderland with the previous Marley Park development selling out in record time. The northern based housebuilder, who specialises in getting first time buyers onto the property ladder, is currently also building homes on the Highfield Park development with buyers rushing to reserve homes as soon as they are released for sale.

The Forge Court development will include a spacious mix of 2, 3, and 4 bedroom semi and detached homes which all feature a driveway or garage. The new homes, which will all be for private sale, will be priced to suit local buyers with a range of schemes available to get first time buyers onto the property ladder including Help to Buy.

As well as bringing new homes to the area, Gleeson will roll out their Community Matters Programme and are now looking for a local junior sports team to sponsor as part of their Sports Foundation plus applications from local young people who are interested in the Gleeson Apprenticeship Scheme.

Ed Alder Regional Director said “We are delighted that Sunderland Council approved our plans to bring Gleeson homes to Pallion. We price our homes to suit local buyers and look forward to welcoming the first residents to the development later this year.”
