Gleeson Homes was joined by the Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Councillor John Briggs, to launch the development of 85 brand new 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes on Roman Way. Prices start from £104,995 and are already selling off plan.
Councillor Briggs joined Gleeson’s Area Manager Jason Lock and Sales Manager Maureen Hynes to mark the start of construction of the new homes.
Maureen explains, “Buyers are often surprised at the affordability of Gleeson homes. Most buyers find that purchasing a new Gleeson Home is a cheaper than renting. All our homes include a driveway and front and rear gardens and we also offer a range of schemes to assist first time buyers, such as the Government backed Help to Buy scheme. Roman Court is perfect for buyers looking to live close to shops and schools.”
On visiting the site Councillor Briggs commented "I was delighted to officially start the development of the scheme which will bring more quality houses to Scunthorpe. The affordability of these homes will no doubt reduce the number waiting for council properties encouraging those who thought it was out of their reach to purchase their own home."
MJ Gleeson has recently been voted the most sustainable company in the UK due to the housebuilder’s use of environmentally friendly materials such as gravel driveways, commitment to Living Wage and working closely with local communities in which they build through their Community Matters scheme.
Jason Lock, Area Manager at Gleeson Homes explains, “In addition to promoting home ownership to local young people and helping them to get out of the rent trap and onto the property ladder Gleeson is dedicated to making a difference in the community. We provide job opportunities for local people and subcontractors, offer apprenticeship schemes and provide sponsorship for local junior sports teams.”
If you have a junior sports team in need of sponsorship or would like further details on the Apprenticeship Scheme, Gleeson would like to hear from you.
Gleeson’s Sales Office at Roman Court is open Thursday to Monday from 10am until 5pm.
