Finding things to do whilst staying safe at home can sometimes feel like a difficult task, so we have compiled a few Easter themed activities to keep little ones (and big kids) entertained this Easter.
1. It’s all about the Eggs……starting with breakfast
Whether it's dippy eggs and soldiers or smashed avacodo and perfectly poached, start your day the right way.
2. Create an egg hunt
The Easter bunny may not have been able to get around every home this year but if you have treats in the house, why not set about making your own?
So, this might not technically be an egg hunt if you haven’t been super organised and bought them all prior to lock down but we can be creative. You might have some chocolate, sweets or even fruit in the house that could work.
Depending on the age group you could either make clues as to where the goodies are hidden or guide littler ones near to them. If it's nice weather and you are fortunate enough to have a garden (which all Gleeson homes do), then you can take this outside too.
3. DIY Easter decorations
Why not grab some twigs from the garden, paint them white and make yourself an Easter tree? Or make an Easter egg garland; just cut some egg shapes from any paint swatches, books or magazines and string together. We love this easy to follow tutorial on garlands from Modern Parents Messy Kids.
Kids love getting crafty, so get the paints out and decorate some eggs. Make sure you hard boil the eggs first or you could be in for a bigger mess than you bargained for!
