Landlords need not apply at Gleeson Homes Kings Park!

Landlords are not welcome on Gleeson developments! The message was sent out loud and clear to a gathering of supportive Mayors and Councillors, all of who were very pleased to hear that only prospective home owners can buy a Gleeson Home. They were invited to tour the new show homes at Kings Park and advised that 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes were available from as little as £85,995. They all agreed that Gleeson’s covenant was key to the community of Stainforth.

Gleeson received a strong council attendance at the site, with elected Mayor Ros Jones representing Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council. During her tour of the homes, Mayor Jones commented “My primary focus as Mayor of Doncaster is to ensure economic growth in the area and I was very impressed with how affordable the homes were for locals. We are committed to supporting good quality housing developments that meet the needs of everyone in Doncaster, including those who want to own a home of their own. That’s why it is great to see this development with Gleeson come to fruition and that the homes are proving so popular amongst residents.”

She was joined by Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for Housing, Glyn Jones who also believed that Gleeson was providing a unique opportunity for the locals. They agreed with Gleeson that it is important to have a community full of residents who take ownership of their community, and have the opportunity to access affordable mortgage repayments instead of being priced out of the market.

Stainforth’s local Mayor Lorraine Crosby and Deputy Mayor Arlene Abbott were also present at the event and loved the new show homes. Both having lived in the community for years, they painted a picture of how the community has changed over the years. They said that it was great to see the area being uplifted again and were not surprised to hear news that homes were selling quickly. Local Councillor Phil Bedford was so impressed with Gleeson that he later returned with a tray full of pastries to say thank you and welcomed Gleeson into their community. This sums up the great community spirit that resides there.

Kay Lightfoot, Sales Manager for Gleeson comments, “We are very pleased to receive such strong support from our councils and a special thank you to Councillor Bedford for my pain au chocolat! Our homes are selling quickly and I am sure the new show homes will raise even more interest at Kings Park. We can help match you with a scheme to get you onto the property ladder so visit us and tell us your situation.”
