Gleeson Homes were delighted to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress of Hyndburn to their St James Court development in Church to officially start construction of the 48 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes on the former Church Bank Works site. The homes are priced to suit local people, especially first time buyers, with two and three bedroom semis currently available from £105,995.
Joining the Mayor and Mayoress were Gleeson’s Area Manager, John Mooney and Sales Manager, Sue Irving. The Bury based housebuilder specialise in building traditional style semi and detached properties which are all for private sale and help people quit the rent trap and buy their first home. St James Court is one of over 60 Gleeson developments across the north of England with the housebuilder recently voted the most sustainable PLC is the UK.
John explains, “Many of our buyers don’t realise they can afford to buy a Gleeson home, and for most buyers their monthly mortgage repayment is actually cheaper than their previous rent, plus the Government backed Help to Buy is available on all our homes”.
In addition to bringing much needed new homes to the area, Gleeson’s Community Matters Programme provides jobs for local people, sees the housebuilder work with local schools, offers site based apprenticeships and sponsorship to a local, community led junior sports team.
The new homes at St James Court are already proving extremely popular with local buyers thanks to their low prices and location on the banks of the Leeds to Liverpool Canal. Gleeson will be opening show homes on the development in the New Year with the first residents hoping to move into their new homes in the spring.
