Gleeson Homes was joined by the Mayor of St Helens, Councillor Patricia Ireland and Mayoress Lynn Glover to mark the start of construction of 50 brand new 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes just off Lancots Lane. The first homes released for sale proved extremely popular with local buyers with all of them selling off plan within weeks.
The Mayor and Mayoress were joined by Gleeson’s Area Manager, Tony Hancock, Sales Manager, Simon DiCanio and Land Manager Graham Barlow, to take a tour of the site and view the plans for the traditional 2, 3 and 4 bedroom semi and detached homes.
The Sutton Park new homes development is Gleeson’s third in the town. The northern based housebuilder’s Hamelin Park development recently sold out in record time with show homes on the Berry Mead development due to open in the New Year.
87% of Gleeson’s homes are purchased by first time buyers with 41% previously living in rented accommodation. Gleeson ensures its prices are affordable by local people with monthly mortgage repayments usually cheaper than rent.
Tony explains, “Buyers are often surprised at the affordability of Gleeson homes. All our homes include a driveway and front and rear gardens and we also offer a range of schemes to assist first time buyers, such as the Government backed Help to Buy. Sutton Park is perfect for buyers looking to live close to shops, schools and public transport links.”
MJ Gleeson has recently been voted the most sustainable company in the UK due to the housebuilder’s use of environmentally friendly materials such as gravel driveways, commitment to Living Wage and working closely with local communities in which they build through their Community Matters scheme.
Gleeson will shortly be releasing more homes for sale on this popular development and urges buyers to register their interest now to avoid missing out. For more information visit
